Any wedding that uses black and white has my heart! I loved working on this modern "Kate Spade" inspired suite. My real wedding posts usually only include pictures of stationery, but I had to post some photos of this gorgeous bride and groom and their wedding party. From the mountain backdrop to that stylish leather jacket on the bride, these photos made me smile! Ceremony and reception at Silvertip Resort. Planning and decor by the talented Joyfoley Weddings. For Mariah & Nathan, it was a classic and traditional wedding at The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. This invitation suite was digitally printed on a cotton stock with accents of off-white metallic paper in the envelope and cigar band. To complete the look, the bride requested lots of "bling", which we brought into the top and botton of the invitation along with two solid lines of rhinestones on the cigar band. Brittany and Nick were my first couple who decided to print their invitations on wood. I was beyond excited, as this had been on my invitation wish list for years. We chose a dark walnut wood with a light ivory screen print. The wedding was in Canmore, Alberta at Silvertip Resort so for the design direction we used natural elements such as trees and the three sisters mountainscape. The package was bundled with jute twine and the rsvp was enclosed on a two-sided tag with their names and wedding date on the front. Below are some gorgeous stationery photos by Corrina Walker Photography. Not only did Corrina capture this suite perfectly, but added to it's beauty with the elegant arrangements of the pieces. Thank you Corrina!
Kaila & Peter, who are both teachers, came to me with a fun, light-hearted design idea to create school-themed stationery. The final photos by Shandro Photo show off how it integrated with their wedding day decor, which was executed by Jennifer of Fresh Look Events. I think this wedding is a great example of how to let your personality and style shine through on your wedding day no matter how unconventional it may be!
Better late than never! I'm catching up on some real wedding posts from 2012. I'm a sucker for uber modern style so Tina & John's wedding stationery was one of my favourite to design in 2012. This Alberta Art Gallery wedding designed and executed by Jennifer Bergman Weddings oozed with style. This wedding was also featured on the prestigious Wedluxe blog. Enjoy some of the photos captured by Kelly Redinger Photography.
This destination wedding invitation was one of my first of many to come, that featured a boarding pass design. Naomi was a great client to work with and really understood consistency of visuals throughout a wedding. She took the stamp monogram I designed and ordered buttons and colourful tumblers for her guest to enjoy at the resort. We also created a fabric seating chart, which was ideal for traveling since it could be rolled up and packed in a suitcase. The images are by the talented Carey Nash and planning was executed by Jennifer Bergman Weddings.
